In this video, you will learn Marichi's Pose, also known as Marichyasana.
Sit erect with both legs stretched out in front.
Bend your right knee and pull the right heel up to your right buttock.
Inhale as your lift your spine and raise your right arm.
Exhale as you bring your right shoulder forward and place the pit of your right arm on the inside of your right knee.
Wrapping the arm around the knee, reach out and clasp both hands together behind your back.
Try to grab your left wrist with your right hand.
Twist your erect torso to the left as your turn your gaze over your left shoulder.
Breathe naturally, holding the pose for 20-30 seconds.
Now, repeat the sequence on the other side.
Use a belt or rope to bring your hands closer to each other if you cannot clasp them immediately.
This pose tones the abdominal organs, reduces fat around the waist and relieves backpain.
You have now learnt Marichyasana, Marichi's Pose.
