In this video, you will learn the Half Headstand, also known as Ardha Shirshasana.

Place your elbows on the mat, set apart from each other by the length of your forearm.

Now, make two sides of a triangle with your forearms and interlock your fingers together.

Place the crown of the head on the mat with the back of the head resting against the cup formed by your palms.

Focus your weight through your shoulders and onto your arms as you lift your knees up from the ground.

Walk your toes towards your head until your torso is perpendicular to the ground.

Stay in this final pose, breathing slowly and naturally.

Hold the pose for upto a minute, slowly increasing the time as you get used to the pose.

Relax in Child's Pose for thirty seconds to recirculate your blood.

This pose will strengthen your shoulders and core muscles.

It also increases blood supply to the brain and improves digestion.

You have now learnt Ardha Shirshasana, the Half Headstand.
