The Sikana Yoga Program was co-created with Yogi Ram, the founder of Arhanta Yoga Ashram India & Arhanta Yoga Ashram Netherlands. He is one of the reputed teachers of Classical Yoga and Vedic philosophy who studied in the traditional system of Gurukula in India. He has been teaching for over 18 years now and has trained more than 1600 Yoga teachers through out the world. He has taught at variety of places like Yoga ashrams, Yoga centers, Yoga Festivals, Yoga Retreats and Hospitals etc. He has been featured in various Yoga magazines and TV shows in India and abroad. His writings are published in various Yoga and Health magazines regularly.

Shreyas Markandeya

Shreyas Markandeya started practicing Yoga at the age of 8 in Nanded, India, He has devoted his life to Yoga and wants to share his passion with people across the globe. He has participated in several international yoga championships and won several medals including gold in Thailand, silver at Taiwan and bronze in China. An expert in yoga therapy, he firmly believes that yoga can alleviate and cure several ailments.

Apsara Vydyula

Apsara is a passionate and talented yoga teacher. She believes that the best way to learn is to teach and therefore she started her own yoga school, the Aham Yogashala. She learnt Ashtanga Yoga at the Mysore Yoga Asoociation with Sir Arya Sanath Rameshji. She is a certified yoga teacher, recognized by the Yoga Alliance and the World Yoga Organization. Apsara helped us conceive this program and devoted her time and energy to inspire young people to discover the benefits of yoga.

Presentation

The yoga educational video program aims to inspire beginners to learn and practice a range of different asanas and breathing techniques that can help you lead a healthy and happy life.

The program consists of 80 videos showing simple postures divided into the following categories: standing, sitting, forward bending, backward bending and supine. It also has a few breathing exercises to increase the absorption of oxygen in the body. Once the individual asanas and breathing techniques are mastered, you could discover our series of sequences in the monthly routines or the yoga therapy packages to help cure and prevent ailments, such as headaches, backache, insomnia, high blood pressure, menstruation, and stomach problems.

Yoga strengthens the body and the immune system, increases flexibility, calms the mind, reduces stress, helps regain focus and self-confidence, and brings a sense of peace and well-being.

The videos were shot in India at locations in and around Pondicherry: Alamparai Fort, Gingee Fort, Chinna Veerampattinam Beach, and at farm houses. The setting, the yoga experts, and the Indian classical music, played by the talented sitar artist, Shri Basab Sen, will transport you into the blissful world of yoga, an invaluable gift from India to the world.
