In this video, you will learn the Plow Pose, also known as Halasana.

Lie in the corpse pose and relax your body.

Exhale as you bend your legs and place the feet on the ground.

Now, inhale and then exhale as you use your abdominal muscles to lift your buttocks and bring your knees towards your chest.

Support the lower back with the hands.

Lower your legs and touch the ground behind your head with your toes.

Make sure your knees remain straightened and your back stays perpendicular to the floor.

Stretch out your arms, breathing naturally as you stay in position for 20-30 seconds or as long as you can.

To come out of the pose, inhale as you slowly roll down vertebrae by vertebrae, using your arms as a brake.

Use a folded towel to cushion your back and if you have trouble grounding your feet, use the support of a stool or a chair.

Counter the position by performing Matsyasana, the fish pose and relax in corpse pose.

This pose stretches the muscles and ligaments in the legs and stimulates the abdominal organs.

It also helps digestion and strengthens the neck, shoulders arms and back.

You have now learnt Halasana, the Plow Pose.
