In this video, you will learn the Cooling Breath Technique, also known as Sitali Pranayama.

Sit cross-legged with your back straight.

Place the back of your wrists on your knees and touch the tips of your thumbs with the index fingers.

Open your mouth, shaping it as though making an 'O' sound.

Curl your toungue and stick it out past your lips.

Fill up your lungs by inhaling through the curled tongue, as though sipping through a straw, and make a hissing sound in the process.

Now, pull your tongue in, close your mouth and rest your chin on the notch of your collar bone in Jalandhara Bandha.

Hold the breath for 5 seconds.

Raise your chin and exhale slowly through the nose.

Repeate the cycle 5-10 times.

Sitali Pranayama cools the body and soothes the eyes and ears.

It also promotes the liver and spleen, improves digestion and reduces thirst.

You have now learnt Sitali Pranayama, the Cooling Breath Technique.
