Sit erect with both legs stretched out in front of you.
Flatten your palms on the floor beside your hips and straighten your arms.
With your legs held together, fold your knees and pull your shins to the left so your thighs and knees are facing forward.
Inhale as you pull both feet into your left thigh so the top of your right foot is resting on the arch of your left foot.
Exhale and turn your torso to your right.
Inhale as you press the fingers of your right hand against the floor and hold your right knee with your left hand.
Raise and twist your spine further to the right.
Breathe naturally as you hold the pose for 20-30 seconds or as long as you can.
Inhale and then exhale as you straighten your torso and bring your legs back to the starting position.
Now, repeat the pose on the other side.
This pose relieves pain occuring in your neck, shoulders and the back and also increases the flexibility of your spine and hips.
