In this video, you will learn to guard a player who doesn't have the ball.
The strong side of the court is where the ball is, the other side is the weak side.
Standing in defensive stance, hold one arm up towards your opponent, and the other towards the ball. You should be able to see both of them at all times.
If the ball is behind the free throw line, move away from your opponent so that you can get your foot in the key.
If the ball is over the free throw line, stand with both feet in the key.
If an opponent starts dribbling towards the basket, you will be able to come quickly to help your teammates in defense.
Work on these different positions and during games, stay focused so that you can adapt quickly to the changes in situation. Over to you!
