You should never move an injured person unless they are in danger, as this could worsen their injuries.
They are in danger if they: are in a life-threatening situation, or cannot move on their own.
In such cases, you can drag the casualty to safety, if this does not put you in danger.
To do this, Decide where you are going to drag the casualty.
- Grasp the casualty’s wrists and drag them along the ground.
- Alternatively, you can drag them by their ankles.
- Drag the casualty to a safe place.
Alert the emergency services.
