Chicken tikka

Chicken tikka is a popular south Asian chicken dish. It's especially popular in both Pakistan and India. Typically, chicken tikka is made with small boneless pieces of chicken baked using skewers in a clay-based oven called a tandoor. The word tikka means "bits" or "pieces".

• 500 g boneless chicken cubes (thigh meat usually works better)
• 1 tsp garlic paste
• 1 tsp ginger paste
• 3 tbsp lemon juice
• 1 tsp chili powder
• hung curd
• 1 tsp roasted cumin powder
• 1 tsp roasted coriander powder
• 1 tsp chaat masala (or all-spice powder)
• 1/2 tsp kasoori methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
• 50 g cream
• 2 tsp roasted chickpea flour
• 1/2 tsp black salt
• salt

place the chicken in a large bowl or dish.

add 3 spoons of lemon juice

1 teaspoon of garlic paste,

1 teaspoon of ginger paste

some regular salt and black salt

leave the chicken to marinate for 30 minutes

add one teaspoon of roasted cumin powder

1 teaspoon of chaat masala or all spice powder

1 teaspoon of roasted coriander powder

and half a cup of hung curd

Then, add one teaspoon of chilli paste

Mix well

Then add half a teaspoon of kasoori methi

Add two teaspoons of roasted chick pea flour

check the seasoning and adjust the salt and spices to your taste

marinate the chicken for an hour or leave it in the fridge overnight

when you're ready to grill, slide the chicken pieces onto a skewer

cook the skewers on a grill, or you can bake them in an oven, but be sure to place a tray underneath to prevent any juices from dripping

cook them until each side is brown and tender

once they are finishes, remove the chicken from the skewers and serve them with onion slices and lemon
