Measure 500g of chicken

Add 3 table spoons of yogurt

Thoroughly mix them together and let the chicken sit for 10 minutes

Measure 500g of Basmati rice, wash it and let it soak for 15 minutes.

Add some Ghee in a pressure cooker

Add a bit of sunflower oil

Add some cinnamon, cardamom, black pepper and cloves.

Add a sliced of green chilli

Add some mint leaves

Add 3 diced onions and stir thoroughly

Add one teaspoon of ginger and garlic paste

Add 3 diced tomatoes

Add one teaspoon of tumeric powder, byryani masala and chili powder

add 2 teaspoons of salt

Now add the chicken and the yoghurt

Stir them thoroughly

Next, add the soaked rice.

Pour in two small glasses of water

For every cup of rice add one and a half times the water

Add some coriander and mint leaves

Close the cooker and wait for one whistle

Check if the rice is done

You can serve chicken biryani with onion or cucumber raita
