In this video you will learn how to improve your drives.
Knocking with your partner using only drive shots is a great way to warm up and improve your reflexes.
Both players should stand mid-court in the ready position.
Player 1 starts as the server and drives to the backhand of player 2.
Player 2 should drive back to player 1's forehand.
Continue knocking until you've hit 20 strokes each.
Swap roles and repeat the drill.
You could also do the same drill with cross-court forehand drives where both players hit forehands.
Switch to backhand.
Concentrate on hitting with the right grip, arm action and footwork.
Once you're done with the warm up knocking, you can play a simple game where both players can only hit drives in the singles court.
Both players start mid-court and alternate serving each point.
The first player to reach 10 points wins the game.
