In this video, you will see basic exercises to work on your breathing. Repeating these techniques will make breathing more natural.

As a safety measure, we advise you to do this exercise in the presence of another person.

We will show you two exercises in the shallow end: exhaling through the nose, and then through the nose and the mouth at the same time.

First of all, exhaling through the nose. Hold on to the side of the pool, shoulders in the water, and take a deep breath through the mouth.

Put your face in the water and empty your lungs by blowing gently out through the nose. Go back to the starting position, and repeat the exercise about 15 times.

This first exercise is a basic exercise for beginners. It allows you to get used to exhaling through the nose so that you can avoid letting water entering the nostrils while you swim.

Now, exhaling through the nose and the mouth. Repeat the steps of the first exercise, but this time exhale through the nose and the mouth. Here as well, blow gently.

This exercise allows you to empty you lungs faster. It's an indispensable technique when you're making more strenuous efforts. Repeat this exercise about 15 times.

To improve your breathing, remember these two exercises: exhaling through the nose only, then through the nose and the mouth.
