In this video, you'll learn how to do a passing warm up in threes

Here are three exercises: passing sitting down, passing standing up and passing whilst moving

Firstly, passing sitting down

This exercise warms up the arms and wrists of the seated player

Form a triangle with each player 2 metres apart

Player 1 is seated, facing Player 2

Players 2 and 3 are standing and each is holding a ball

Player 3 makes a one- or two-handed pass in a high arc to Player 1

Player 2 simultaneously passes their ball to (him) player 3

Player 1 passes to Player 2, paying special attention to their movements

Player 2 receives the pass whilst Player 3 throws the other ball in a high arc to Player 1 who is still seated

Repeat the exercise without stopping for one to two minutes, then swap roles

Secondly, passing standing up

Repeat the previous exercise, but this time standing up

This exercise trains you to make the passing action

Thirdly, passing whilst moving

The aim of this exercise is to move effectively to always get underneath the ball in order to make a pass

Form a triangle, about four to five metres away from each other

Player one passes in a high arc to one or two metres from Player 2

Player 2 moves under the ball and makes an overhand pass to Player 3

Player 3 moves under the ball and then in turn makes an overhand pass to Player 1 and so on

You can aim the ball to the left, right, in front or behind the receiver

Pass to each other for a few minutes without missing the ball
