In this video you will learn to receive the ball several times in a row

You will need two partners and between 3 and 5 balls.

This exercise is done in two stages: positioning yourself, then hitting and repositioning.

Firstly, positioning yourself

Stand around 1m in front of the base line.

The first partner is the setter and stands on the same side as you, in front of the net and in the middle of the court

The second partner is the server and stands anywhere behind the opposite baseline.

Once in place, they serve wherever they like 5 consecutive times. As soon as you receive the ball, they serve again.

Move towards where the ball will land as quickly as you can and position yourself to get ready to return the ball.

Secondly, hit and reposition.

Before passing to your partner, direct your body towards them to execute a pass an overhand or a bump pass

They must be able to catch the ball without having to move, or moving as little as possible

Once you've received the ball and made your pass, move quickly to where the next ball is coming.

To succeed in this exercise, manage your time, receive the ball as quickly as possible and make sure you look both at the ball in play and the next ball arriving

For fun you could have a competition with your partner, the winner being the one who makes receives the ball succesfully the most

Now it's your turn!
