Slices
To cut the tomato in slices, hold the tomato firmly and cut out the stem.
Slice the tomato evenly using a sharp knife.
Quarters
To create quarters, first slice the tomato in half.
Then you can cut it again into fourths or even eighths, depending what size you desire.
Cubes (for purées and sauces)
If you want to make a sauce out of your tomatoes,
don't forget to remove the seeds.
First cut the tomato in half. Remove the seeds and the juice and save them in a separate container.
Depending on the sauce, you may or may not need to use them.
Place the tomato flat side down and cut it into sticks, then into cubes.
To remove the seeds quickly, you can also use this method.
