In this video, you will learn how to varnish a piece of furniture with a paint sprayer.
Applying varnish will help protect your furniture from getting stains and getting marked.
For your safety, you will need:
Thin latex gloves
A protective mask
and protective glasses.
To varnish your furniture, you will need:
and a paint sprayer.
You will also need:
A pot of acrylic varnish.
The varnish finish is applied to furniture which has either been smoothed or sanded, or with a painted finish.
In this example, we will apply varnish to furniture which is already painted
Start by removing any dust or dirt from your piece using a slightly damp cloth.
Varnishing with a sprayer uses the same technique as paint with a paint sprayer.

In this example, we will show you an application in three coats.
Apply the first coat.
Then, leave it to dry for the time indicated on the instructions on the varnish.
Sand your furniture slightly using fine sandpaper to remove any bumps.

Next, remove any dust or debris with a damp cloth.
When the varnish is dry to the touch, repeat these steps for the second coat.
Now all that remains is to apply a third coat of varnish, leaving it to dry for the time indicated on the pot.
Your furniture is now varnished.
