In this video, you will learn how to maintain a photovoltaic generator.
Simple and regular maintenance will extend the life of the various elements of the generator.
To maintain a photovoltaic generator, you will need a soft cloth and a bucket of water.
This operation is carried out in 3 steps, which we will explain.
STEP 1: CLEAN THE SOLAR PANELS
Deposits of impurities and dust on panels reduce the power generated by a photovoltaic generator.
Once a month, clean the photovoltaic modules.
Remove dust and deposits from the surface of the modules with a soft cloth.
Rinse in clean water.
STEP 2: EXAMINE THE CABLES AND CONNECTIONS
Examine the condition of the cables, especially those that are exposed to sunlight.
Verify that all of the connections made to appliances and systems using screws are attached tightly.
STEP 3: VERIFY THE CONDITION OF THE BATTERY
Verify that the connections to the battery are attached properly.
Tip: You can add silicone to protect your connections from oxidation.
You now know how to maintain a photovoltaic generator.
