How to change lanes safely

In this video you will learn how to change lanes safely.

The three key steps are: looking behind, signalling with the hand and switching lanes gradually.

When you want to change lanes, it is important to look behind at least a couple of times.

Step 2.

Once you are sure that the road behind is clear of any vehicles closeby and you have a safe enough distance to change lanes, signal your intentions by stretching out your hand.

Step 3.

Move to the lane beside and look behind again.

You might have to switch lanes gradually, especially on larger roads.

Follow the same process until you get to the desired lane.

Note that it's better to slow right down, or even stop, rather than change lanes when it is unsafe to do.
