Facilitate access to energy and fight against energy poverty

Facilitate access to energy and fight against energy poverty

1 billion people in the world do not have access to electricity.

Electriciens sans frontières (Electricians Without Borders) is an NGO working for international solidarity. Since 1986, it has undertaken projects to help people in the remotest and most disadvantaged areas gain access to both electricity and water, with the objective of improving their living conditions by making access to electricity a lever of human and economic development.
Sikana and ESF co-created educational programs on access to electricity and installation of solar panels.

In Ivory Coast, people still use kerosene and disposable battery powered lamps. Both solutions are harmful for their health and to the environment.
In Dahloké and Wawrenou, farmers living in temporary settlements and NGOs requested ESF to provide solutions to expand access to electricity and improve their living condition.
The ESF project aims to co-create with the local population a sustainable and replicable model in remote villages.

To be able to see and download the videos on their telephone or computer will undoubtedly contribute to help maintain electrical installations and also scale up electrification of villages across the world.
