Upcycling: Make a Wall Shelf from Wooden Pallets.

In this video, we are going to learn how to make a wall shelf from a wooden pallet.

We will need:

One pallet, 2 brackets, some wood screws and 4 items of metal cutlery.

A measuring tape, try square, a pencil, a saw, a sander, some fine grain and medium grain sandpaper, a drill/driver, a 3.5mm (1/8") metal drill bit, and a pair of pliers.

Cut 2 planks measuring 60 centimetres (2ft) in length, and another 2 that are 40 centimetres (1ft 4") in length.

Next, sand all the planks.

Now it's time to assemble the shelf.

Position the two 60 centimetre (2ft) planks side by side.

Fix the brackets at 12 centimetres (4 3/4") from each end.

Screw the 40 centimetre (1ft 4") planks onto the brackets.

We are now going to prepare the metal cutlery which will be turned into a mug rack.

Start by piercing the centre of the cutlery using the drill equipped with the metal drill bit.

Once you have made the holes, bend the handles.

Screw them onto the two 40 centimetre (1ft 4") planks in staggered rows.

Your wall shelf is now finished!
