Upcycling: Make a planter from pallet wood
In this video we'll learn how to make a planter with pallet wood.
We will need:
Pallets and a planks of reclaimed wood
A measuring tape, a try square, a pencil, a saw, a sander with medium grit sandpaper, some nails and a hammer.
Preparing the planks
We will make a planter which will measure 60cm (24") in length, 20 cm (8") in width and 30 cm (12") in height
Start by dismantling the pallets, to learn more watch our video: "How to Dismantle a Pallet".
Measure and cut the planks at the desired dimensions.
We will need 8x 60cm planks.
, 3x30cm and 3x20cm planks.
Now sand the planks using the medium grain sandpaper
Assembling the planks
Start by assembling the rear face by fixing 3x60cm planks to the 30cm ones
repeat the process for the front side.
Nail the remaining planks to make the bottom on the planter.
Your planter is now finished.
