In this video, you will learn how to make a candle holder using pallet wood.
Once pallets have been dismantled, the blocks that attach the top deckboard to the bottom deckboard are rarely reused.
Which is why we wanted to give them a new life by making them into candle holders.
For this project you will need:
a pallet block and a tealight
Some medium-grit and fine-grit sandpaper, a pencil, a ruler, a drill and a 38mm spade bit.
Step 1: Start by sanding the block using medium-grit sandpaper.
Then use fine-grit sandpaper to give it a smoother and more uniform look.
Step 2: Use the diagonals on the top face of the cube to mark its centre.
Step 3: Drill a hole in the centre of the block to a depth equal to the height of the tealight.
Step 4: Sand the edges of the hole to remove any roughness.
Your candle holder is now ready!
