This free video tutorial program has been designed to teach adults how to ride a bike correctly and safely. Whether your 6 or 60, it’s never too late to learn how to ride a bike! The program aims to encourage people who have never ridden a bike to discover cycling as a new form of exercise and an eco-friendly mode of transportation. It is conceived with adults in mind and they are free to follow along with the exercises in the video either alone or with a companion or instructor present. Watch the videos in the order they come and only move on to the next video once you are confident you have mastered the techniques shown. Learning to cycle as an adult will take some practice and getting used to but it’s something that anyone can do! The videos break down the essential elements of cycling into: Scooting, Balancing, Pedalling and some final exercises to join everything together. You will need to be able to remove the pedals from your bike to attempt some of these exercises, but our innovative method does not require training or stabilising wheels! Remember the importance of learning how to brake both smoothly and in emergencies. The program was created thanks to the support of Decathlon, and the videos were conceived with the expert guidance of Guillaume Guerard, a qualified cycling instructor and life-long bike enthusiast who works full time teaching both children and adults how to cycle.
