In this video you will learn how to stitch a drawstring.

Don’t forget to watch the previous videos to learn how to apply the seams.

Take the strip of drawstring material that you have cut out.

Fold both the raw edges along the length towards the center of the strip.

Now, create another fold along the center.

Stitch in reverse an inch from one end of the strip before you start stitching towards the opposite end.

Keep adjusting the folds in place as you proceed along the entire length.

Secure the end with another reverse stitch.

You may now insert the drawstring into the casing.

Attach a safety pin to one end of the drawstring.

Insert the safety pin into one end of the the casing and gather up the fabric to either side as you inch the safety pin through.

Once it has reached the starting point, spread the drawstring uniformly along the casing.

Remove the safety pin.

Make sure while cutting your fabric that the drawstring is long enough to make a knot.

You have now learnt how to make a churidar!.
