Pallet Ideas: Make a Spice Rack

In this video you will learn how to make a spice rack using pallet wood.

You will need:

A wooden pallet, a pair of work gloves, a measuring tape, a set square, a pencil, a handsaw, a sander, some medium-grit and fine-grit sandpaper, an electric drill and some 35mm (1.4") wood screws.

Step 1: Start by cutting the pallet in half lengthwise in line with the central supporting slat

Now cut it along the width, just above the second-from-bottom supporting slat.

Step 2: Measure the length of the two bottom slat.

Step 3: Then cut two more slats to this length.

Step 4: Sand the wood using medium-grit sandpaper.

Step 5: Now screw the slats to the deckboards to form the bottom of each storage compartment.

Your spice rack is now ready!
