In this video you are going to learn how to make some flavoured butter or 'beurre composé'

It is butter flavoured with fresh herbs, spices, purée or juice which will add a little seasoning to your meals!

Flavoured butter is softened butter ( beurre pommade) mixed with different ingredients

Follow the steps and you will easily reproduce this recipe.

To make your flavoured butter you will need softened butter

We will flavour it with ground parsley and lemon juice

Feel free to replace these ingredients with some that you prefer

You will also need a mixing bowl, a spatula, cling film and kitchen foil

First step: Prepare the mixture

Put the softened butter, parsley and lemon juice in the bowl

Mix all the ingredients with the spatula until the result is homogenous

Second step: Give an attractive shape to the the mixture

Spread out some cling film like this

Place the mixture onto the cling film

Then roll it in a cylinder shape.

Finally, wrap it in kitchen foil to protect it from the light

Place the cylinder in the fridge for a few hours until it is firm

The flavoured butter is ready!

It can be kept for a few days in the fridge or a few weeks in a freezer

You can also eat it right away!
